💵 $5 to playCome play a few hands in good company. Moss & Tile's first Open Play Happy Hour is a relaxed, drop-in practice night for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong. No signup required — just show up, grab a drink, and find a seat.How it works
Seating is first come, first seated. Play is organized in 45–50 minute rounds at $5 per round. Stay for one round or come early and play two. Tables seat four, and spots fill up as players arrive, so we recommend coming close to 3pm if you'd like to secure your seat for the first round.Schedule
3:00pm — Doors open, first round begins as tables fill
3:50pm — Round 1 wraps, short break to stretch and refresh
4:10pm — Round 2 begins
5:00pm — Round 2 wraps
5:00–6:00pm — Open social time, casual play if tables are still goingA few things to know
Bring your 2026 NMJL card. Sets and racks are provided. This session is designed for players who have completed at least one Mahjong 101 lesson or are already comfortable playing independently. Light facilitation will be available if you have questions at the table, but this is open play — not a lesson.Edway Taphouse is a full-service taphouse, so drinks are available for purchase throughout the afternoon.
